Untitled #2

Back to the China photos until I get out with my camera. It's been quite foggy here for the past few days. If i have time, I'll see if i can go take some shots of the fog.
This photo was taken at the Tin Hau Temple near Repulse Bay. One of the many statues of gods and deities. I didn't give any frame of reference in the photo, but these were about the size of my pinky!
I liked this photo because of the depth of field, the textures on the figurines and the paint-chipped ledge, the strong dusk light, and the red-yellow-green-blue color contrasts.

I like this one. I prefer it to the other China DOF related one ...of the hanging things with red tassels I think (I'm not looking at it, just remembering it). I guess I should know the name and purpose of those hanging things but I don't.
i think it's the general shapes of the subjects (which are cool in and of themselves) in this photo that I like.
what were they doing on that stone anyway? sorry all 3 comments have to be from me.
Hi Joan! you can leave all the comments that you like :) But yes i agree and like this DOF shot more than the tassles one. In the tassles one, i think i totally overdid the DOF. So i hope i can learn from that.
There are two main statues (very very tall) at the temple site. One of Tin Hau and one of Guan Yin i believe. Along this ledge were statues of some other gods and deities, so i guess these two figures were part of the display. Not sure who they are though.
